This theme of holding polarity and integrating nuance has come up a lot for me lately, so it synchronistic that I came across this article. I admit, it was humbling to discover that I am prone to either/or thinking even if I consider myself open-minded. We all have blindspots, it's good to know that.
Same! I love to think that I’m open minded and operate with plural thinking but constantly have to catch myself when I realise I go to either/or. I agree about blindspots! And I definitely think that we can all help each other in relation to those, acting as compassionate reflectors so we can see them.
I like your approach of “not choosing sides” it's essentially a form of “thinking outside the box”. But I would argue that building systems is an unexplored way of getting ahead of the curve with creativity + AI and to fight being just one more that gets exploited by platforms… I recently reflected that topic in a post, maybe that resonates with you:
Thanks for sharing this Andreas and for pointing me to your post. I found it interesting how you argue for the need for a new architecture and that transformation can happen within those structures. Nice.

Love reading this Rachel! I resonate so much! And thanks for mentioning my essay as well :)
Glad it resonates, Carolina. And happy of course to share your piece - it's great!
