When I was younger I was so insecure about my own messiness that I definitely wanted to polish over it with beauty in various ways and add in some glitter to further distract from the mess. And now I have less to prove or maybe I just care less about proving anything I suppose and I can just sit in the mess and see what beauty comes through out of it and allow people to see all of that. <3 <3

Thanks for sharing this, Kathryn. I also wonder if things loosen up with age. We have less to prove, perhaps, so it feels less risky to be in the mess, or show our mess. Allowing people to see all of us - I love that - so important in both our creative project(s) and our human one too (i.e. life).

Yes, and as I think more about it, I also began to realize as I got older "oh, no one else really knows what they're doing either" :) Or, more accurately, we all kinda know and we're muddling through and we have insights we can share with one another that might be helpful in all this mess!

Yes! That--right there!--'insights we can share with each other that might be useful in all this mess'...that's absolutely what it's all about.
